This plant gall site is developed from a course and fieldstudy in plant galls, given by Freek Stegehuis, member of the Royal Dutch Fieldstudies Union (KNNV). Originally, this plant galls site was part of Nature Park Spoorzicht in Diemen, a site about a nature preserve in a small village Diemen near Amsterdam. Diemen is older than Amsterdam, and still independant, though it is now almost surrounded by the big city. Aim of the site is the start up of a digital set of data of the most common plant galls in the Netherlands. Nature education students and volunteers may check their species here. The gall collection is opened by menu entries like Gal genera (gall genus), Gal soorten (gall species), gal typen (gall typing by shape and skin), and gal waardplant (gall host). For now, the site is mainly in Dutch, but in near future this might be changed. The site will be updated in spring 2011.
